A: A CRCA membership is required unless flying with the assistance of a CRCA Introductory Pilot Instructor. An AMA membership is also required. You can apply for an AMA Membership here.
Q: What types of aircraft are allowed at Beaverfork Park Field?
A: All model aircraft are welcome; fixed wing airplanes (fuel & electric), gliders, helicopters, multirotors, rockets, etc. If flies, we would love to see it in the air.

Saturdays: 8:00 am - 12:00 PM

Q: Can you teach me to fly?
A: Yes! We have Introductory Pilot Instructors who frequently volunteer to train new pilots. Join our Facebook Page, introduce yourself, and express your interest in learning to fly.
Q: If I want to learn, what do I need to provide?
A: A good attitude! We have trainer planes available at the club, just be sure to contact your instructor ahead of time so they can have everything ready. It is the responsibility of the student to contact the instructor to make arrangements for flight lessons and/or check flights from student to pilot.
Q: Can you suggest a good trainer plane?
A: The FlyZone Sensei or E-Flite Apprentice are good choices and both come in Ready To Fly (RTF) packages.
Q: Do you permit FPV?
A: FPV is permitted as long as all standard field rules are followed and you are complying with AMA FPV guidelines (please see the AMA’s blog for more details). You must also comply with the section on FPV in the AMA Safety Handbook.
Q: How do I get to Beaverfork Park Field?
A: Directions are located here on our website.
Q: Does the field have electricity?
A: No. You will have to provide your own generators for electricity.
Q: What else do I need to know?
A: Be familiar with the AMA Safety Handbook and the AMA National Model Aircraft Safety Code.
